Romanian Government approved in March the quota for the Work Authorizations to be issued to non-EU citizens for this year. The Government Decizion 264/2009 establishes 8000 Work Authorizations to be issued in 2009 for non-EU citizens who want to be employed in Romania, based on the Governmental Order no 56/2007 regarding work employment and detachment of foreigners on Romanian teritory, Order aproved and modified by 134/2008 Law.
